1. How can I find out about alumni events?
The Alumni On-line Community is the best starting point for all of your alumni needs. You will gain access to resources, can search for fellow alumni, get in touch with the Alumni Office, etc.
2. Why is it important to keep in touch with the Monterey Institute after I graduate?
The Monterey Institute hosts a number of alumni events around the world every year. Many faculty visiting different countries and cities also host informal alumni gathering. We also publish an alumni newsletter that announces special events, gatherings, and alumni stories.
By providing us with your contact information, we can ensure that you are invited to events in your area, and also keep you updated on current activities on the campus.
3. What career services and assistance is available to alumni?
All services that are available to students are also available to alumni.
Alumni can take advantage of resume and related professional materials development, use the First Class email posting system to check out career announcements, use the alumni network for connecting and contacting fellow alumni, and continue to request the assistance of the trained career staff at the Monterey Institute for information on new fields, fellowships, PhD applications, etc.
Given that GSLEL alumni are located around the world, the assistance they receive is primarily electronic. Career staff often travel to international conferences and events, and make arrangements to meet with local alumni at that time.
By joining the Monterey Institute’s Alumni On-line Community, alumni have access to a wide range of resources and services, including lifelong free email access.
4. As an alumna/alumnus, I would like to advertise for interns or employment positions in my organization. Who do I contact on campus?
Our alumni are some of our best resources when it comes to providing GSLEL students with information on new positions, and in developing internship opportunities at their organizations.
We welcome postings and announcements from our alumni, and work to build stronger employer - Monterey Institute relationships through our alumni network.
