Graduate school is a crucial formative experience, and can be significantly different in many ways from your undergraduate schooling. Adjusting to these new demands can be difficult.
The Graduate School of Language and Educational Linguistics is dedicated to your academic success. While you are here, please make full use of all the advising and counseling resources of GSLEL and the Monterey Institute. Stay in close touch with your advisors and your professors.
Many students, after a semester or two, find that their interests have changed and ask to modify their educational plan, or even switch programs or schools within the Institute. Because our community is small and closely-knit, we can offer maximum flexibility with a minimum of bureaucratic restrictions.
