The Intensive English as a Second Language (ESL) Program offers five 8-week sessions each year. Most students continue in the program for several sessions, developing their communicative and linguistic abilities as they continue. The program is designed to help beginning to intermediate level students improve their English for communication. Students take skills classes in reading and writing, oral communication, and grammar. In addition, students take afternoon elective courses in TOEFL preparation and topics in American culture. All of the instructors in the program hold advanced degrees in the teaching of a second language and are committed, energetic professionals.

- Take one or more of our five 8-week sessions with 21 hours of instruction per week
- Work in small classes of 6-12 students in a fun and friendly setting

- Conversation Partner Program
- Regular Institutional TOEFL test dates
- Field trips and community-based activities, including community volunteering
- Access to campus library, computers, e-mail, and technology labs
