Students may choose to include preparation for the Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) in their class schedule. Currently this course meets six hours per week for eight weeks in the afternoons from 1-2:30 pm. Students also may use program tutors and extra workshops to help them prepare for the test.
The Monterey Institute is now a test site for the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT). Detailed information about the iBT is available from the ETS website: http://www.ets.org/toefl.
For a list of test dates and locations or to register for the next available test, please call 1-800-GO-TOEFL or go to http://www.ets.org/register.html.
Students who are applying for admittance to the Monterey Institute should report their TOEFL iBT score directly to the Admissions Office. Our four-digit institution code is 4507. A department code is not required.
As of August 2008, the Monterey Institute no longer administers the Institutional (paper-based) TOEFL.
